Gary Zack Studios
Glass artist Gary Zack's vessel forms are blown in a spontaneous and free style that allows the material to take its own path. Light and airy, his pieces suggest the nature of the glass, as its hot, malleable and fluid. His Floral Series features rich, saturated transparent and opaque colors that blend in unexpected ways. Each set is carefully and purposefully composed, with graceful flower forms and tendrils set in a vase of complimentary color. Some of the vases are filled with rice to encourage stability. Each vase, flower and tendril is entirely handmade in Zack's studio in Saratoga Springs.
Gary Zack has been involved with glass since 1978. His love of hot glass is founded on the immediacy and spontaneous nature of the material, as well as the interplay of color and light.
